Blessing of the Pets

One of the most popular Downtown Lutheran Worship Services is "The Blessing of the Pets." The 2009 event was held on Sunday, October 11, 2009 in each of the three Worship Services at Historic Trinity. Each pet handler received a St. Francis medal. PAWS, the Detroit Tiger's mascot, was present again this year which made the day extra special. Dogs (including several Future Leader Dogs), cats, rabbits, hamsters, and a hermit crab were blessed.

This year, the Bruning family gave us an extra special treat by bringing an Angus Bull calf, two exotic chickens, and a very friendly duck to be blessed.
