Mother Church Legacy

On Sunday, September 23, 2012, at 3:00 p.m. the “Continuing The Legacy” presents a special afternoon Worship Service honoring Historic Trinity as the “Mother Church” of Detroit Lutheranism. Over 100 Lutheran Parishes in the Metro Detroit Area can trace their roots to Historic Trinity Lutheran Church.

All parishes in the Metro Area are invited to continue our Lutheran Legacy in downtown Detroit . Bring a “Banner” from your local church to participate in the “ Parade of Banners” at our Mother Church of Detroit Lutheranism. Choir members from any Metro Detroit Church are invited to form a special legacy choir under the direction of Karl Osterland. There will be Special Speakers. Following this brief Worship Service food stations will be available in the auditorium.
