Pastor Jim Rolf was born on February 21, 1956, in Saginaw, MI, and was baptized by Pastor Lorenz Weber at Peace Lutheran Church in Saginaw.  Pastor Rolf attended Peace Lutheran School through eighth grade and graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1974.  Four years later he graduated from Concordia River Forest and began a 31 year ministry as a Lutheran educator.  He earned his Masters Degree in education in 1985 from Michigan State.

 

Pastor Rolf met his wife, Cheryl, during his first call at Apostles Lutheran Church and School in Melrose Park, IL.  He and Cheryl have four adult children: Michelle, Laura (and Rich), Katie (and Pete), Matthew (and Lindsay), and have one granddaughter, Savannah.  When their youngest child, Matthew, began college, Pastor Rolf began his seminary studies at Concordia Theological Seminary in Ft. Wayne.  His vicarage was served at Guardian, Dearborn under the leadership of Pastor Andrzejewski.
Pastor Rolf received and accepted a call to serve as pastor at Hope Lutheran Church in Linden, MI, until his retirement in January, 2017.
