ADVENT MIDWEEK WORSHIP 1: December 2, 2020. Order of Worship: AdvMid1

COVID UPDATE (NOV. 17, 2020): Dear friends of Historic Trinity, as we continue to navigate our way through this ongoing pandemic, it has been our most enduring prayer to find the right balance between “protecting the sheep” and “feeding the sheep”. We believe we have taken all the necessary precautions to safely worship for these past 25 weeks, covering 84 different worship services. While we are suspending most of our in-person gatherings until further notice, WE ARE LEAVING OUR DOORS OPEN FOR WORSHIP. Masks are required as you enter, move about, and leave, and are encouraged to be left on throughout. That’s our part. Your part will be to continue to stay home if you are sick (in any way), compromised, or uncomfortable. We love you all… whether here or at home. This could very well continue to be a long season ahead of us, let’s work together to keep our doors open, and we’ll continue to encourage you–with all our might–to stay strong in the Lord!

Historic Trinity has been sharing the love of Jesus in downtown Detroit since 1850. As the Mother Church of Detroit Lutheranism, we are blessed to be an ecclesiastical, cultural, community resource and gathering place for Metro Detroit. Historic Trinity is a National, State, and Local historical designated site. The uniqueness of our downtown location, the breathtaking beauty of our sanctuary and our worship services distinguish us as a destination church.

We are a proud neighbor in the Historic Eastern Market District. We provide secure and lighted off street parking, easy access only two blocks from I-75 Exit 51b, air-conditioned facilities, and complete handicap accessibility.

Ways You Can Give

Your prayerful and financial gifts to the ministry of the Lord at Historic Trinity make a huge impact on our capacity to connect with the world around us.

“But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare. Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives”

2 Peter 3:10-11
