The goal of the retreat is to ponder the depth of Jesus’ love for you and to enhance the upcoming season of Lent by learning Visual Faith techniques.

Key Bible Verse: Ephesians 3:17
“…And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—-that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”

 

Our Speakers-
Brooke Orozco

Brooke has served the Lutheran Church for a total of 22 years in the areas of Worship and
Music, and as a speaker and/or music contributor to various events in the Church. Brooke graduated
from Concordia University, Ann Arbor with a major in Music Performance and a minor in German.
In 2012 she and her family served as missionaries in Ciudad del Este, Paraguay for two years and upon
their return, began a mission site near St. Johns, MI to reach underserved Hispanics working on dairy
farms. In 2019, the family moved to Flint in order to better serve the local church, NewLife
Community Lutheran, where she works in the areas of music/worship and children/youth, and her
husband, Sam, serves as Director of Discipleship and Outreach. Brooke and Sam have three children.

 

 

Valerie Matyas

Valerie Matyas is the Educational Development Consultant and a Visual Faith Classroom
Coach for Visual FaithTM Ministry. She presents applications of Visual Faith for faith
formation in Lutheran School classrooms, for Church groups, and at Educational
Conferences. Valerie holds a Masters of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from
Concordia University Ann Arbor, Michigan. She lives in Bay City, MI, with her clerical collar
wearing husband and their four young children.

I was wondering about purchasing several tickets for a group of women to attend from St. Paul in Albion. How many seats are currently left for the Feb women’s retreat? Also, does the event include a tour of the church? If that is a separate arrangement, how does one go about arranging such a thing? Thank you.
